But really i gotta agree with Lee there's nothing more retarded than these recent run of games where oh shit you're the best depending on where the freakin host is, and if you play with randoms it's the same deal you could host but your team may be all over the place.  (MW2 was pretty stable so I topped the scores but then balance kicks in and puts you with the low scorers who score low because.. they're laggy as fuck)

On the bright side AVP is going to have Dedicated servers but 'going' is a vaigue term.  I was chatting in game on Bioshock and I agreed with a guy who said yeah it's alright having hosting on something like MW2 at it's peak but 'smaller' games ala AVP and Bioshock are gonna get pretty empty pretty fast and THEN you'll notice the hosting problems.

TBH I AIN'T GOTTA PROBLEM WITH HOSTIN IF IT'S A NEW BIG ASS GAME WITH A GAJILLION PLAYERS AND A GOOD LOBBY BUT FUCK SON DON'T ADD IT TO SMALL FRY GAMES.

atm my heart wants to play bioshock because it's fun, my brain wants to play MW2 because it's challenging, my wallet wants to play AVP to get it's moneys worth and I will end up playing ANNO vennice because it comes out on Wednesday and it's single player 

The dedicated servers are due very soon and yes PVP hosting should be stopped for all PC games.
